I had it serviced and a new speaker installed, not at the same time but shortly after. It sounded great for about an hour then the volume dropped to about ½ and really distorted. I'm glad I still have a couple of days left on the 30 day warranty. Has this happened to any of you?
PS..this was done localy and not by Peavey.

Over and over and over again. Usually just the power amp in jack. Try a short cord from preamp out to power amp in.
Same on the front in and out as well |

Thanks Ken, that did clear up the distortion but the volume is still no where near what it should be. I was always under the impression that you shouldn't use just a patch cord without something connected into the front "effects" in & out.

Hey George I have had the same kind of trouble with my NV 400. It turned out to be a connection in the reverb circuit that can dry out and crack over time. My amp is 20 yrs old and I have had to get this replaced twice! Hope this helps you!
