7 String Non Pedal Steel Guitar

I JUST COMPLETED A 7 STRING NON PEDAL (LAP) STEEL. I HAVE PICS IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED. BODY OF CURLY KOA & FRET BOARD OF BACOTY(SP?). FRET MARKERS OF ABALONE AS WELL AS THE PURFLING INLAY. IT HAS LEGS FOR SITTING AS WELL AS STANDING. DAN SHIELDS WOUND A 7 STRING PICKUP FOR ME JUST BEFORE HE DIED & I PICKED UP A HUMBUCKER OFF OF EBAY FOR THE SECOND ONE. THANKS, CHARLIE

That sounds great Charlie. I'm a seven string guy too. Your guitar sounds like it's gonna be really nice. :D

Hi Charlie, Im a 7 stringer (C6/A7 wih high G) Love it to death, I converted my supro 8 string to a 7 string by re cutting the nut and re notching the bridge slightly, resulting in a much improved string spacing (over an 8 string nut width)
Please post pics if you get time, 7 stringers can have a nice proportion to them re neck width and body length.

I have a 37 B7 bakelite that I just can't put down. Played through a D'lite Dumble clone it's very inspiring. A second on those pictures!

what does the 7 string humbucker come off of ??

and what pickups (blade related) can be adapted to 7 string?

All of the major makers do 7 string pickups in humbucker and single coil, there are some cheepies on eBay.co.uk at £25 for a pair or 3 strat type.

Nice job Charles :) Any closeups of your cut stone markers?
