I have signed up with wireless. When I first hooked up I had an icon on the right side of my taskbar. It was a blue one with waves going out something like a station being broadcast.. When I put my cursor on it, it told me if my signal was weak, good, or real good. My computer shut down, & when it restarted the icon isn't there anymore. I looked in the start folder & a few other places but can't seem to get it back. I miss not having it, how can I get it in my task bar again??
thanks in advance,
John

jolynyk;
If your PC is running Windows you can open the Networking Windows and find the Local Area Connection that is tied to the wireless adapter. Right click on that connection icon and select Properties. There is usually a place on the General, or opening tab to tick a checkbox to display an icon in the System Tray when that connection is active. Check the box, click Apply, then OK to close the Properties and the icon should reappear.

If, however, you inserted a CD that installed a custom device driver and interface, that application may need to be opened and searched, for the option to display an icon when connected. You'll probably find that program in your Programs list, off the Start button.
