I had asked a question a while back for a friend of mine who wanted to know if you could use a capo on a Dobro...I guess he wanted to know about using a capo because the strings of a Dobro are much higher off the frets. He is wondering about puting something under the strings or I guess just exactly what to do...Thanks

I have to leave for work, Bennie,so I can't address this directly right now, but if you do a search in Steel Without Pedals you will find a bunch of threads on dobro capos.

Several types of dobro/lap steel capos are available - Elderly Instruments has most of them:

Bought a Shubb capo from Bobbe a few years ago,worked great,was easy and fast to put on and off.DYKBC.
