If you ever want to have fun, walk into a guitar store with a Stringmaster Quad. I have to have some electronics work done on the Quad and I took it to the local music store that has a good tech. I pulled it out and soon had a crowd of people around me oohing and aahing and shaking my hand.

None of them had ever seen a 3 neck steel let alone a quad.

I took my 40's Gibson lap steel into a Guitar Center in Durham, NC to try out some pedals. I drew a big crowd of people, none of whom knew what the heck it was!

They always like to see something different... Champ 6, Stringmasters... the JB Frypan was a big hit. It shuts the shredders up... for a while, anyway.

I've been to GC's where they require you to leave the case at the door... kinda a PITA... only Arlington so far does that.

Bill, I'm not surprised by that. Very few guitar techs have ever seen a 3 or 4 neck Stringmaster, and they are blown away when they do. I went through the same thing about 10 years ago with my Quad and with a Fender Custom T-8 at two guitar repair shops. The guys couldn't stop drooling over them, and running their hands over them. Eventually they lose interest though... when they realize it's not a 1950s Telecaster. It's just an old steel guitar. Laughing
