Sonny, Bill, I'm not all that good at identifying one "great" from another, but I would have to vote Dickey Overby on that one; from the couple times I got to sit and watch him play close-up, that sure is his "sound". JMO

When we play at country or near country based gigs, that's the beat that get most people up on their feet. It may be a bit out of date according to today's standards but it is still a beat that you can't help but keep time to.
That's also one of those tunes that a good bass player can really take his bass for a walk. |
