Around 1943 I bought the same combination brand new from the So. California Music Co. in downtown Los Angeles for about $250. They were some of the last one's sold due to not making anymore because of WW2 (so they told me}. I don't think Gibson had this amplifier technology in 1932, but I could be wrong. Probably 1942 would be a more realistic year. |

In his title he says 1930, which is completely wrong, but in the description he says 1936, which is dead on. |

Pretty cool toys. Obviously a smidge pricey.

I think the amp collectors are really beginning to get into the prewar Gibson amps.
I was recently offered $2100 for my EH-185. |

Even postwar ones - I've been getting offers for my '49 GA50T that are quadruple what it was worth maybe 18 month ago. _________________ No chops, but great tone

Well, those old tube amps of that era had a warm tone to them if they still work. The set as mentioned hails from around 1936 but I must agree, a bit too pricey....quite a bit ! |

I've looked around craigs list before and would like to know if there is a way to do a full search rather then by state.

I have an old BR-1 amp that sounds terrific! About 30 years ago, I requested a schematic from Gibson, and they just laughed at me. They did eventually find a hand-drawn one though. |
