Tube amp problem?? please close, got it fixed

I turned on my fender hot rod deluxe this morning and it was making a noise that sounded like when you put the needle down on an old dirty record. Real fuzzzy. I waited for it to stop, and it didnt. I went to turn it off and it smelled like something was burning. Has anyone ever had this problem? Any ideas would help. Thanks
