Years ago before I fully realized what a Sierra was, I chanced to meet one of the fellows that seemed always to be in the show room when I'd drop by for a set of strings or whatever.
Over the years, this fellow shared a lot of his time and was always gracsious enough to play a tune or two for me during my visits. A player with a real creative flair.....certain to open up new venues with his 'modern sounding stylings'.
Today, I received a copy of his latest CD "Unforgettable Melodies"......and what a most pleasant surprise it turned out to be.
"Unforgettable", "Almost Like Being in Love", "Lovely Huly Girl", "When I Dream" and more!
I'm going to be perfectly Frank. This man has a style that is second to none, uniquely different and pleasantly enjoyable. The sounds NEVER seem to wear on you. Instead you're happy to listen to it over and over. Really GREAT TONE and technique.
Tho' the player has decades of playing country music and Hawaiian music too.......this CD is an authentic cross section of all kinds of 'good' music.
Like the rest of us, he got his start on an Oahu steel guitar and from there, his playing has become history.
If you want a very pleasant and happy day of listening to truely great music, get Bill Stafford's
wonderful CD with Mississippi roots......... You'll be glad you did.
