Anybody have a snapshot or two of Paul A. Bigsby's workshop/home in Downey, Calif.?
What about Emmons Guitar Co., and all of those other exciting places where fabulous steel guitars are manufactured. For some of us, these are destinations a majority of us will NEVER be able to see with our own eyes.
How about sharing these 'secret' spots with the rest of us. Snapshots would be satisfactory. |

Ray, I don't have any photos of Paul Bigsby's place, however I went there once in 1965 to have a pot replaced in my Bigsby foot pedal. I don't remember being impressed by the property. It was on a par with the rest of the homes in that residential neighborhood. His work shop was just a regular, slightly enlarged garage slightly in the rear of his residence. Paul was very nice to me at the time. The man was a genius, and I was impressed with him.  |
