That is a beauty. How does it sound? I had been hearing for awhile that hollow body lapsteels had a tendency to feedback. I heard later that the problem had been solved. But it's all hearsay. I've never owned a hollow body or heard one played. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

ciao. beautiful guitar, it looks well crafted.
having friends living in Italy, yes, I agree, lap steels are very rare there.
I really enjoy the sound of hollowbody lap steels. I made one, not as nice as yours. I must make another since my best friend took the first.
spero fotographica ,per favore. |

Full hollow body instruments can be prone to feedback, but judging from Bobs description, I think it is just chambered and not fully hollow.
Chambered guitars generally have solid wood under the bridge and pickup so they are not so prone to feedback like a full hollow build. _________________ Some misc pics of my hand crafted steels

Thanks guys on youtube you can listen it!
This hollow body has a solid wood under the bridge and pick up... and so I limit feedback!

That is quite beautiful! I love the way it mixes the grace of the weissenborn design aesthetic and the styling of the more current Asher-esque guitars. I am really impressed! |
