Hi Mickey, Living near Austin I have heard some awesome steel guitar music...I admire the sound so much I have embarked on a new adventure in my life....learning to play the steel guitar. What I want you to know is how much your youtube videos inspired me to take that leap and think that I might actually learn to play. I have recently joined the forum, acquired a Carter Starter, and will be taking lessons from Neil Flanz here in Austin very soon. I have already made so many friends on the forum....so many that have helped me and I count you as one, even though you don't know it....you mentor from afar to many of us. Thanks for helping us beginners and I hope to be able to meet you in Dallas next March.

Johnny Baker ans Sherry and any other new members whom I've over-looked ; a hearty welcome to our Super Steel Guitar Club, " The Steel Guitar Forum ". Always pleased to see younger folks joining our RANKS. I 'm a beginner on the " FORUM " celebrating my second year, here, as a member; but have been around the Sreel Guitar Community for better than fifty long years. Bought my first pedal steel in 1953, and to this day, I still own the guitar. But you folks have so much to look forward to. Great people like Mickey and Neil [ And Others ] to guide you down the highway to stardom, to become great Steel Guitarists. You will all " LOVE " the forum and the many members whom will be here to help you. Just give a Holler.. Enjoy.. Bernie
thank you
