Mike is a great player and a great person. He has gone out of his way to be helpful to me and I just wanted to say the steel guitar community is lucky to have such a great guy and picker amongst us.
Thanks Mike! |

I'll second that. Michael is a picker's picker. He is also a great person and just like a good next door neighbor. I have emailed him several times with questions about steel and he comes thru every time. It's like I have known him for years. _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars

Yup. Met him twice and he was as nice and as gracious as one could be. The settings he gave me for my new 112 were an excellent starting place. Thanks, Mikey. |

Mikey D. is an incredible guy. He plays with great touch & tone. He can really get that good ol' Pete Drake sound too!!!
He's no slouch on harp either. I've heard some folks say that he's the closest thing to Charlie McCoy.

The "Midwest Country" segment featuring Billy Walker being backed by Mike on his Franklin SD-10 was rerun last evening. Again, excellent playing and great tone. |

I saw it too. Mikey D. was playing some good stuff. It kind of made me sad to see this and know that Billy is gone. He's one of the guys at the Opry that always spoke to me, and didn't make me feel out of place, even though I felt that way, and he was always a nice guy. |

Hey Rick,You didn't have to worry about the " Word Games " with Billy. He was always super to me too, when he was in town out here in California. Leo |
