Midwest Country-Joe Savage-8/30/08
Killer tone from Joe's Zum on this episode. Great playing too. I Miss Leroy, but Larry Rose ain't no slouch. I'd be interested to know what equipment besides the Zum you were using on this one Joe?

The main reason I even have Direct Tv is RFD. Growing up in mostly rural areas I enjoy most of the program. I am so blessed that I was able to choose my career path. Farming is one ot the most over worked and under paid jobs ever.
I really enjoy mid -west country shows. I love to watch Joe play. His facial expressions make me laugh. Keepem coming Joe. We all miss Leroy what a super performer.

I also enjoyed that show! Joe played about as good as I have ever heard him. I commented to my wife that now that Leroy is gone it sounds like Joe has stepped up and picked up the ball! Way to go Joe. Keep it up. I have always enjoyed Leroy's music and I miss him very much. It is good to know tht Joe can and will carry Midwest Country.

I watch Midwest Country every chance I get. It has been like taking lessons from Joe and Leroy on how to step up night after night, year after year and be a credit to your profession. Guys like Leroy and Joe are the heart beat of our business. Regardless of the situation they are in, they plug in, go to work and make it as good as it can be. Good job Joe and RIP Leroy Glazier. You are missed.

Larry, I play the new album stuff with him when he is on but they don't feature that part of it much. There is a fellow that comes from Maryland and plays an old console just like Don's that plays the Hank parts. David likes to have that console sound. The fellows first name is Dennis but for the life of me I can't remember the last name. On some of the other shows we do I play steel on the whole thing. Also depending on what parts of what filmings gets played I got to work the steel chair a couple times when Joe was gone.

new show on RFD
According to what I read on RFD web site Marty Stuart is going to have a country music show with his pretty wife Connie Smith. It will air in November. That should be a great show. I think it will be true country. I'm ready for more of the above.
