This Saturday’s (8-30-08) weekly edition of “Swingin’ West” can be heard from 2:00- 3:00 PM (eastern) on WVOF-FM (88.5) in Fairfield Connecticut and simulcast world wide on the Internet at www.swinginwest.com or www.wvof.org

The theme for this week’s show is requests and other things, including lots of good Western Swing. Among the sounds you will hear will be from Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys, the Texas Panhandle Band with Hank Pell on vocal and Jody Carver playing steel guitar and Craig Chambers & the Rio Grande Band.

You will enjoy Rawstin from Texas and Gunsmoke from Connecticut. Lone Star Beer & Bob Wills Music are remembered by Henry Baker and the late Mickey Crockett and R.J. Vandygriff remembers the late Frankie McWhorter.

There is so much more including steel guitarists Chuck Lettes and Bobby Chatfield as well as vocals by Lisa Lally, Tommy Alverson and Gary & Carol Bibb. There is also a cut from recent CDs by Tony Booth and Randy Brown.
