Folks, I was at the Alto Music in Middletown, NY the other day, and looking at this unit;
Well, I myself use Acoustic Image Clarus and I'm very happy about the tone and mainly, its size and the weight is very convenient.
This Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 is just as light and small, yet it pumps out 600W @ 4 ohm. And it has mid sweep-out knob so if we need to sweep out that "Mid-honk", we should be able to...and it's like $600.
Did anyone try this with pedal steel??
Please chime in !! |

The rep brought one into our store and I a-b'd it with a Nashville 112 (using the speaker in the 112)it was louder, compact, light weight and very cool looking, but I could not find the sweet spot with the eq. That's just trying it in the store - not on a gig. I passed on being a dealer - he wanted a pretty big buy-in. Trying it on a live gig would be the real test. |

Hmmm....Even with that Mid-scoop at 800 hz didn't help? Did bass and treble help at all?
Do we need Ken's Mod on this one too??
(just kiddin' !! ) |

Can't remember - it's been a couple of months ago. I just know I had the NV112 right there and it sounded great, and I could not get rid of the goose on the GB,,,but I did not spend a bunch of time with it either. Seems like the overall preamp was voiced much differently... this is a bass amp, right? |

Right. The funny thing is, I also have Webb 614-E, and the EQ is pretty much set like anybody else's( see current post on Webb settings for Day and Mooney)
and when my Bass player plugged in to my amp by "mistake"( because he's such a Space Cadet), it sounded great for Bass!!
It is an Apple to an Orange, but the critical thing here is the "Mid scoop" I think.
Even on Nash 112, if the mid scoop isn't set at the right HZ, it has that "Goose Honk". Don't you agree?
