This is great, I already have 5 people. I was going to have it at my house but maybe I'll rent a small hall or a banquet room. Nick I'm thinking of having it Aug 15th,16th or 17th what ever work's out for everyone. I need to know if everyone wants E9th or C6th or both. Myself I'm only interested in E9th but maybe we could split it up.

I have been a friend and student of Jody for over a year and a half...What a great guy, who is an excellent teacher/mentor, he's always there if I need anything, and knows how to explain things, to where you can understand and comprehend. Good luck to ya'll, and I hope you enjoy visiting and learning from my friend Jody. Smile

Thanks for the info Bill. E9th is great for me also but I have a Universal and was hoping he may touch on the basics of the standard 6th pedals. I have yet to find an instructor that could make me understand what is going on there (not their fault... it's mine) but I know someone someday will make the light come on in my head. But anyway it should be a great 2 days. Keep us up to date on what is happening.

Thanks Brandon and Jeff!

I am looking forward to coming to MO. Rick, I just sold my universal guitar, but I can certainly cover some concepts on the U-12 that will clear up some things for you, I think. I played E9/B6 exclusively for about 4 yrs., but went back to the D-10 eventually. I still believe in the concept of the U-12 though, especially if that's what you start on.

I'm game for doing anything you guys want to do - E9 or C6 or E9/B6. However, we might need three days instead of two to really do any good if we try to cover all these different things. Smile Thanks, jc

I just talked to Jody. He said his week ends were pretty well tied up and hoped we could do the seminar during the week.He will call me back with definate date in a couple days.

Brian, you won't have to bring a steel, Jody said he could bring two and I might be tradding for a Carter Starter.
Let me know if this will work for everyone.

Brian, if you can bring your steel, please do...if not, I'll bring along my Shobud, and/or Bill may have a Carter Starter you could use. If you are flying from CT, don't worry about bringing a steel - too risky and expensive. We will come up with something for you.

Hi Bill,
Keep me posted on the dates. As I told you in my emails I am interested.
Jody: I am one who asked about C6th. Actually I talked to you about it in Dallas this year. I really need some help in understanding that neck. Of course I could always use help with E9th.
I was hoping for some of it to be weekend but I understand a guys playing schedule. Keep me posted Bill

Jody Cameron is a great steel guitar teacher and player. I took lessons from Jeff Newman some years ago and can say that Jody is in the same league. You will benefit from being in his class.

Jody, called today. We've decided that Aug is really to busy for both of us. We were thinking of the first week in Sept, right after the Steel Convention in St Louis. Of course anyime is OK with me,so Its really up to Jody and the students. I was hoping maybe some of you may be at the convention already and would work out better, especially Brian. What do you guys think???

Looks like Sept. 8, 9 and 10 will be the dates for the seminar. I'll do 8 hrs./day 9-5 or 10-6. Will focus mainly on E9, but will do some C6 if anyone wants to, and will do a bit on E9/B6 for Rick N.

Looking forward to seeing you guys. Smile jc

The dates are the 8th and 9th of Sept. Its up to Jody and you guys what time you want to start and finish. I can't begin to tell everyone who has responded to this how much Jody and I apprecitae it.

The seminar will be held on Sept 8th and 9th at the Econo Lodge in Rolla, Mo. I will let Jody set the time of day. As for now we have 5 students. If we have any more we'll have to find a bigger place but thats OK the more the merrier.
Thanks to all who have responded.

The times can be either 9-5 or 10-6, whichever you guys want. I usually wind up going more than 8 hrs. anyway. Thanks for all the response, and thanks to Bill for taking care of all the details on setting up the seminar. I will arrive in MO on Sunday, Sept. 7, and we will start Monday morning.
