I got my letter yesterday, and I will be renewing my subscription. I have been searching the internet recently for anything about steel guitar, and have found very little detailed information. Even the Library of Congress has little historical information that can be used for research. Aside from material from Tom Bradshaw, and Russ, printed material about our instrument and its players is strongly lacking. We need to help Russ keep this afloat. If all of the players listed in the On-Line Steelers list subscribed, this will add $30,168 a year for just single subscriptions. If each of the 838 players would get one person to join up, this total would double, and certainly give Russ enough working capital to continue this vital magazine on our instrument and its players.

Let's spread the word. We can all do that by promoting the magazine at every venue, gigs, conventions, club meetings, jam sessions, etc. Hope we can all get this thing up and running and become self-sustaining.

Dennis

I really enjoy the magazine and would hate to see it go under. If Russ were to switch to a less expensive (not glossy) type of
format in order to keep costs down, I for one would rather that than no mag at all! As long as the content stays the same, it's all we've got right now.
