Last evening I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Buck in action. He was on stage with Lyle Lovette and his Large Band right here in Portland, Oregon! WOW, what a player and what a great show. It was very polished; the sound and lighting folks really did their job well. This was one of the best outdoor concerts I've ever seen. Buck's playing prowess really shined when it was his turn to tear it up. You have to admire anyone that can play Lyle's very unique material! After the show was over Buck, being a true gentleman was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking steel with me and my girlfriend, Kathy. We're both looking forward to seeing and hearing him again with all the other fine artists in St. Louis!

Hey Lynn,
Sorry I didn't bump into you at the show and you're absolutely right, it was a terrific evening... Great music from Lyle and his band, and Buck shone at every opportunity.
Forumites - if Lyle is headed to your neck of the woods be sure to see him!
