Gas is $4.13 a gallon and My Mule, Buford, only gets 37 mpg. So I probably won't be able to make this one either. I hope that the gas prices doesn't keep people away. I know Buford was Looking forward to seeing Bessie again, But the happy reunion may have to wait a while longer.

From Lake City about 325, but we will some how make it. STEVEN GAMBREL (CAN I COME ???) you will have to put up with me again. Jack Conyer and I will come together if he is OK by then. Also John Le Master is trying to fit it in his schedual, he came last year with me in Feb. One great smoothe player, and my hero, I want to learn to play like him, he will have his new williams by then.
John does a lot of gigs and sessions around this area, because he is also a great bass player. WAyne if he comes he can releave you some, you will admire his playing, he played with Russ Hicks when he came to sun country.

DAD GUM IT, ERNIE!!! You spelled my name wrong---But I love ya anyway. We'd love to have John come back, great player, and a real good guy. And we need some Ernie, too! PLEASE, y'all remember what a great cause we're supporting here, and the hard work that the Reeces do to insure a good show. (All I do is what they tell me). I hope Wayne Smith can make it Saturday night, cause I wanna play some guitar, but Wayne, if you can't make it, that's cool, I'll bust out the fretless. Hartley, you have no excuse
.
And if you guys don't mind, PLEASE let me know if you plan to play on Sunday. It makes my job easier, and the show runs smoother.
SEE YOU THERE!!!!!

I took The Liberty of Putting up a Saluda Steel Guitar Convention WebSite to do What I can to Continue Supporting This Fine Show.
I had Plans of Doing This When We Lost Buddy Walker, But wasn't able to do this at the time.
I now have the resources and ability to do this with some space available on My Nashville Propickers site and Now have it up at
http://nashpropicker.com/Saluda/
Some of the information such as Hotels and Lodging Info may be slightly out of date and I ask The Shriners of Saluda to email me and send Corrections to any mistakes. Will appreciate any comments and Constructive Critism.
Saluda is a Great Show and I Just want to help in any way I can.

Things Change, Some That I wasn't aware of, but nevertheless they change. The Important thing is that The Southern Steel Guitar Convention has a New asset in this Website to Provide information to New Visitors as Well as The Old.
Hopefully it will Draw in Some new Visitors.
The Name of the Game is To Redirect the visitors money to the kids At The Shriners Childrens Hospitals. Shriners have the gift of making this a happy process. They always give you your money's worth and then take your money and give it to the kids.
Once more Check it out at:

Thanks for allowing me to help

Hey John, Great website. I noticed in your links that my name is not highlighted. I don't have a website perse, but I do have a great YouTube site which actually links to some Saluda video's.
http://www.youtube.com/user/Steelpicker
I don't get to go to EVERY show like I used to. Now I have 2 grand children in oposite sides of Florida, so we are on the road a bunch.
Take care,
Bill

Hey, you guys, I've got a real favor to ask. If you plan to play Sunday, email me ASAP, and get to the Shrine club as early as possible. Scheduling this show is a tough job, but it's lots easier if you guys are already there to holler at me. Someone HAS to open the show, and someone has to close it. I'm not gonna put the main attraction on last, and I'm not gonna use the same guys to open/close the show. That'd be unfair to everybody, ESPECIALLY the audience we depend on! I want to get the schedule together as early as possible, and you players can be a big help. Thanks ahead of time!
Hey Bill, Thanks

I believe it might be linked now.
New Subject
If anyone has any pictures of Artists, National or Local playing at Saluda, I would appreciate you sharing with the site. I need Pictures, but they have to be at Saluda.
Please Contact me by Forum email and lets leave the SGF post Free For The Day to Day Management Tasks and advertisement For the Show. I will get back to you with a Valid Email Address with my reply. I have created a special email account for this website and will handle everything on my end from there in the future. I don't need to be getting in the way of the management of the show. There is also a link on the site to send email to this account at the bottom of the menu's on the left side of each page
Thanks everyone For the positive Response

Ron is a great headliner for ANY show. I've got a '67 Impala, I believe Ron would make a good headliner for that...
Good looking website, Ron. Look forward to seeing you again!
