Hello,
My name is Elaine Riffle and I am the musicians contractor for WV Public Theatre in Morgantown, WV. (www.wvpublictheatre.org). I hire all of the musicians for all of the theatrical productions that WVPT does. I got your contact information off of the "steel guitar forum" online.

We are doing a run of "Urban Cowboy" from July 22--July 27, with a rehearsal at 2:00 on Sunday, July 20.

I am in desperate need of a pedal steel guitar player to perform in this show. I have hired 2 people in the last 2 months. The first one called me back within one week to tell me that he couldn't play the show because he "got the dates mixed up and was already booked" and the second guy accepted the gig several weeks and now won't call me back.

I am searching desperately for someone who can come to Morgantown to play the show. I can provide housing at the theatre-provided apartments, POSSIBLY a small travel allowance (approximately $100), and a weekly salary of $591.00 for 7 shows and 2 rehearsals.

If you are available, or know of someone who would like to come hang out in Morgantown with us for the week and earn a bit of money and have a lot of fun, please contact me ASAP.

If you could forward this to anyone you think may be interested, please do so!

Elaine Riffle

Hey Joe Barcus, How did the shows go? Guess that's where the "How many Steel Players" read music thread of a few days ago came from. Hope all went well. Don D.

Don
It did not go wel for me I made it to practice, then when I got there tuesday for the show I had a serious blackout out ended up in the hospital for a while they had to call another guy in it was someone from maine. I wished it would had worked out for me i was not that far away. but after I had that problem it pretty well sealed my fate with working with that theatre. Ive been having this trouble for sometime now and you never know when its going to happen, last time I was driving. but hey we must take the bad with the good I guess. Joe
