Brand New Swingin' West-Mike Gross
The July edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" has just come up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week, over and over, for the entire month.
The theme for this month, July, is a Western Swing salute to recently deceased country music legend Eddy Arnold. Among the sounds you will hear will be from the brand new CDs by Connecticut’s Gunsmoke, steel guitarist Bobby Chatfield and fiddle player/vocalist Bill Gilbert.
You will enjoy Western Swing super star Leon Rausch as well as Ben Stafford Rodgers, Kata Hay, steel guitarist Tony Farr and Texas’ Don Wallace. The great state of Texas is also represented with former AWA Band of the Year, the River Road Boys and the very talented Bobby Flores.
Also heard from Western Swing history will be the great Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Leon McAuliffe and his band live from 1947 and from classic radio, Leonard T. Zinn and the 101 ranch Boys as well as the late Tennessee Ernie Ford. The fiddles of Paul Anastasio and Dick Barrett are heard doing the show’s closing theme.
The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site, www.swinginwest.com
Thank You!
