Can't play U-tube videos... Can you help?

I used to enjoy going to you-tube to plays videos I saw posted on the "Steel on the Web" threads. For the past several days I now get a message where the video used to appear, that says "Either you have Javascript turned off, or an old version of Adobe Falsh Player. Then it has "Download Latest Flash Player." I tried downloading, and had no luck. Other videos (not from you tube) play OK on my computer. I have windows XP and a DSL connection. Any suggestions??? Thanks for your help.
