Has anyone here tried the combo of fishman reso-guit pickup and the Fishman Aura. I see Fishman has a downloadable patch for a Scheerhorn with this pickup. I do not have a Scheerhorn, but I do have a Regal Black Lightning with a Beard cone and an upgraded bridge. I would love for it to sound more like the acoustic sound it makes and have some volume before feedback.
Anyone here tried it?

I use the Scheerhorn patch with a Dobro model 33 and the sound ain't bad.
It used to be Fishman introduced a new patch per week... now they're down to a new patch per month. And generally they select some esoteric acoustic guitar... they have scads of exotic guitars. How about a tricone or a Weissenborn, guys?
Fishman makes a big point that they don't do modeling... their patches are purely intended for sound enhancement. Personally, I think that's because they are trying to appeal to a pretty selective bunch (owners of expensive acoustic guitars) who'd resent being pitched on Line 6-like modeling. In fact, Fishmans suggests that for recording purposes you adjust the mix between your instruments' pickup and the Aura to 100% Aura. That's modeling, pure and simple.
I think the Aura is a great product but currently it's bulky and cumbersome. I'm looking forward to future incarnations.

Jerry Douglas is using an Aura with a prototype Fishman pickup on the Paul Simon tour, and he is getting a nice acoustic sound even at arena sound levels.
For resos you probably should consider having a model made for your instrument, since there are so few models available. I would also consider waiting for the new pickup.

Well since I've got the Fisman reso pickup already in and I play both guitar and mandolin, I'm going to make the plunge and get one. I'll let you all know how it sounds after I've downloaded the appropriate patches and done the appropriate tweeking.

I recently managed to get a Fishman rep to admit that the Aura is fundamentally a digital domain modeler. But from a marketing standpoint they don't like to say it...

Eric,
I beleive you're right. It is modeling. But who cares what something is called (except for the marketers)? What it does is more important to me. My first impression (based on guitar, mostly as I have not downloaded and set up the Reso patch) is positive. My resoguit does sound better using the "classical guitar" patch so I'm hoping that the reso patch will be even better, even though its not my Black Lightning they've "modelled."
