You must be talking about George Draber's JCH with the quilted maple front. I watched Jimmie and Buck build that guitar and it is "drop dead" gorgeous! As I remember it did not have the usual plastic logo on the front as George was to fashion one from brass. I have a picture of it somewhere and I will post it for you if I find it. That was the only lacquer guitar other than a green single neck with Lloyd Green's signature inlaid in the finish that I remember Jimmie building in the last 8 or 9 years. All others were mica covered and all cabinets were made by Mark Giles including the above two mentioned.

By the way, I have two JCH guitars. One is a silver & blue single on a double built for Lloyd Green from whom I purchased it and the other is my "Tomato Puke" 8 & 5 that Jimmie built for me. They are both awesome guitars and I have no plans to part with either.

JCH is a top-of-the-line guitar. The design, detail and workmanship are outstanding. I had the pleasure of trying one out for a few days, and it was a beautiful instrument. If you're thinking of a JCH, I wouldn't hesitate; you'll have a very special guitar (if you can find one).

Randy,

I had a new JCH ordered but Jimmy passed away before it could be finished. Keep me informed if your friend decides to sell.

Best Regards,

Steve
