I know this has been covered before but lets do it again,how would you hook up a profex II to a N,ville 400 and or a DD 3 delay to a N,ville 400?..thanks in advance..

I'd try the Rear Effects~Loop first!

There is a couple of ways to do this. One may work better than the other.

First, what you have to understand is that the Nashville 400 has a preamp, and that the Profex II is an effects/preamp. Only one preamp is needed in a mono setup. So, you could connect the output of the guitar to your volume pedal, then connect the output of the pedal to the input of the Profex II. The output of the Profex II would connect to the POWER AMP IN on the rear of the N'Ville 400. Only the controls on the Profex II would work, and/or be needed. With this setup, you would be using the preamp of the Profex II, the power amp and speaker of the Nashville 400.

Secondly, you could use the Profex II as an effects processor, but in reality, you would be using two preamps which may cause excessive noise. To do this, simply connect your guitar to the volume pedal, the output of the volume pedal to input of the Profex II, then the output of the Profex II to the input of your Nashville.

Third, you could connect the Profex II to the pre eq patch of the Nashville(OUT of the N'Ville to the front input of the Profex, then a second cable from the output of the Profex to the IN on the N'Ville pre eq patch). Then your guitar signal would plug directly into the input of the N'Ville.

Fourth, you could connect the output of the guitar to input of the Nashville. Using two more instrument cables, connect the pre eq OUT jack to the input of your volume pedal, then using the third cable, connect from the output of the volume pedal back into the IN jack on the pre eq patch. Using two more instrument cables, connect from the PRE AMP OUT jack on the rear of the Nashville to the input of the Profex, then using the last cable, connect from the output of the Profex to the POWER AMP IN jack on the Nashville.

As you can see, there are several methods to use, however, you would have to try all to find out what works best for you.

Mike,
On the third option, how should you hook up your volume pedal? I thought you could hook vp to pre-eq and then effects to post eq (all on front). What option do you use to turn effect on and off with the effects/reverb pedal that comes with a NV1000?
