I picked up an older Lawrence 705 with side mounts. I have a pair of 705's in a Sho-bud of mine and I like them a lot. However, this 705 has side mounts. Question: did the pickups originally come with conversion plates that allowed one to install it in different guitar configurations, i.e. end-mounted Sho-Buds or others? Or were they made for specific models of guitars? |

Yes they did. At least the chrome genuine Bill Lawrence ones did. Plates for both wide and narrow mounts were included in the packaging. There were 2 screws in the bottom of the pickup for mounting the plate. I had some of the various plates left over at some point, but now I'm afraid I've no clue as to what happened to them |

I have an old 705 currently not installed in anything. If you like I could make a tracing of the Sho-Bud style mounting plate and send it to you. |

John,
Thanks for the offer! Sure, if you could do a tracing, scan it, and email it to me that'd be great. If it's easier for you to send it by mail just let me know. Thanks again. |
