Has anyone taken the amp out of their Peavey 112 and put it in a separate enclosure to reduce the weight? If so did you have to make your own cabinet or is there one already made for that?

I built a new cabinet for my NV112, it's not separate pieces but I used Ash instead of plywood like Peavey used. It is 39lbs.

There is a picture of "Blondie" in the Electronics section on the thread about showing your amps.

I built the front top straight across, like the Nashville 400, to protect the knobs.

They're already pretty light.

I would not mess with it, unless you do as Jack has done.
