When you say a guitar has been modded, was does that mean ? I'm fairly new so over-look the ignorance . RON

I am more familiar with this refering to an amplifier than a guitar. I.E the Ken Fox mod to Peavey amps where about 45 components are changed out for better quality components resulting in a much improved tone. Guitars it refers to mostly a tone modification. There are a couple of threads on here about that if you search. Don't know it it would qualify but I recently had a Sho-Bud Super Pro restored/reworked by Marrs. Involved stripping the guitar of orig finish and re-laquering it, & replacing most of the metal parts underneath with better up to date parts getting rid of extra parts such as pedal stops and poor quality pot metal levers. I recall one post where the they aluminum welded the frame to improve tone. Maybe someone else has more info on guitar mods, i.e. Bobby Seymour or soemone like that. Interesting question.
Good Luck,
Wayne-bob
