I have a MX 200 with low use on it, the display screen that shows the program number has started to flash random numbers at a rapid rate, once this state of condition starts, its impossible to change any settings unless you unplug transformer and start over again. I have done the factory restore thing as per the manual but still same problem, could it be a bad or unstable power transformer?

I doubt that it's a power supply problem. It's more a "logic" (IC) problem and would have to go back to Lex to be repaired. I don't know what the warranty is on these but check with them, even if it's out of warranty they may fix it free, especially if it's a known problem.

I finally got around to contacting Lexicon, they said I was a flat fee of $65.00 for out od warranty work. I explained how the display was running rapid program numbers and the tech support guy said that sometimes the parameter control pots gets oxidation or dirty and the command get scrambled. The remedy he told me was to just spray the pots with dioxit cleaner(was that too simple or what?) To make a long story short, the Lexicon is back to its old woderfull self, I just wanted to pass this info along for the other lexicon users
