Rick was home for a visit and set in with "Country Your Way" at Springdale, Ar. recently and it bought back old feelings and memories that I have not felt since leaving Iowa back in "86" WOW !! what a great talent on lead guitar , not only with the pick but "what's between his ears" if you know what I mean. We were "communicating" all night with very little effort.
I first heard Rick a few years past at our Branson July show at The Baldknobbers where Steve Matlock opened the show with Rick, John Terry, Larry King and staff band which included Bruce Hoffman and Wade Landry on fiddles and Milt Quackenbush on keyboard. --to this day the best set I've ever heard !!
Thank you Rick for bringing back such wonderful feelings and memories of times past to a 70 year old man !!

Bill.....I always called Rick my 'go to' guy.I could always count on him to cover a kick off if someone happened to forget . He's truly an awesome musician , very cerebral , and an all around great guy. He and Steve are on my 'short list' of best friends. Good kids come from good parents....his father Cliff is one of the best people you could ever hope to meet.

My sentiments also-- Cliff is a regular with our "Country Your Way" group and a pleasure to work with. Steve , as you know, is a customer/friend of mine and a slice right off the top and - come to think of it-- you and I don't have many problems getting along either - Smile When we gonna get a chance to gig together ? Yea I know--watch for donkey's sprouting wings --- oh well -- Sad
