Here's a picture of a 1948 Felix Mendelssohn sheet music, and a guitar I acquired some time ago from an ebay seller in United Kingdom. Do any of you know anything about these guitars, probably there has been at least two makers as these guitars are not identical... look at the peghead angle for example.

| I'm curious, how does it sound? From the design I'd guess that it's not very loud and probably sounds kind of "thin". |

| It sounds just a little better than a shoebox with strings would. And yes, it's quiet. I think the bridge is not original, it looks like just a chunk of wood... Under the bridge there is a wood block, I think it's supposed to be a support but it seems to be loose, I need to check it. Kind of a soundpost? |

| If the sound post is loose or missing, fixing that will give you more solid tone and more sustain. I would try to also replace that bridge with something metal. An easy thing to do would be to install a single fret on top on the bridge saddle. |
