Hello, just entered the forum yesterday on the steelplayers section, I also play a lot of nonpedal so I feel I should say hello here too:-)
I am by the way in the process of building a 8string nonpedal-neck on my shobud professional, will be done some time this week.
Have earlier built a 6string lapsteel with a bender on the high B-string, there are pics of this on www.baroy.no , see "instrumenter"

Where do you live? I'm in Trondheim (as you can see), and I would love to get to know more steel (non-pedal) players!
