This device from Electro Harmonix sounds interesting and seems to sound well while the strings are sustaining and ringing. There is also a smaller stomp box version of this unit.

Anyone try this unit as of yet?

I havnt tried it on steel, but on 6 string I was impressed by the fact it doesnt break up on chords like many octave units do.

Len,
I've got one but really haven't given it a go yet.
I like the idea of an organ sound you can get from it.
I am following up the POG with a Leslie simulator.

I'm just winding up getting it all installed in a pedal case along with a bypass switch.

I bought a POG- It was very good. I replaced it with the HOG. Even better. THe HOG has a 6 presets on a footswitch and a variable pedal for other FX as well. In one way I like the POG better- Octave up detune is great for Hammond tones.

I have rceived my mcro-POG this week. I must say it is the best piece of gear in my music room. Surprised I play a lot of Gospel Hymns in 3 part harmony and the organ sound is fabulous Smile

I should have updated this post a while back as I purchased the micro pog and it is quite effective with pedal steel. You can dial in a chime like organ tone. It's a keeper. Also has true bypass.
