Yes, it's a scam. I got the same email the other day. In the email, if you put your mouse cursor over the links, you will notice that down in the status bar of your browser, it will show a different address that the link is really pointing to. |

Here's another. I found both in my Junk Mailbox.
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $83.80. Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days in order to process it.
A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons. For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.
To access the form for your tax refund, please click here

When you click on the link, it takes you to a site called "Football Manager!" I don't see what anyone has to gain from these emails. The sites are either for something entirely different, or are "URL not found." Maybe the links only worked for a short time, in hopes that someone could be swindled if they responded right away. Then the sites were ditched to prevent tracing??? |

It would boggle your mind as to how many idiots actually respond to these things and get taken for a ride.
Letters from Nigeria, Kuwait, and credit card updater scams, still suck in thousands of idiotic people. Many people are just plain stupid and will fall for these scams no matter how many times they have been warned not to. |
