Some beautiful new Weissenborns from down under

Post by Andy Volk »

There are some beautiful new lap-style acoustics coming out of Australia these days. I played several of Paddy Burgin's Australian blackwood guitars at the Newport Guitar show and they sounded wonderful. These look very intriguing too ... check out the Tim Kill 12-string! and the narrow-body. That turtle inlay is unique and beautiful.

The Tim Kill turtle guitar looks fantastic! I'm not normally one for loads of fancy inlays, but that's just beautiful!

Paddy Burgin's instruments are incredible - he showed at the Healdsburg Guitar Show last year, and managed to get one into David Lindley's hands, who's now playing and endorsing them!
