Leon, it comes as a software package, just CD's you load on your computer. Once the program is loaded, you're set to start making music (background tracks, really). It starts you off with a few dozen songs, and probably several hundred rhythm packages. You can change keys and tempo, add and subtract instruments, and set the songs up to play different passages in different ways. You can start out with simple stuff you know well, and then just start making changes. It alos prints out lead sheets, tells you what the varoius chords are, and lets you select your own. That way, you can play "Cold, Cold Heart" with 3 chords, or with 30! It also has different time signatures, and many different instrument sounds. Lastly, it lets you record arrangements to disc, and play them back at a later date, or on someone else's computer if they have the program.

In short, it's a very complex rhythm-track program, which can be used in a pretty simple way until you get the hang of all it's capabilities.

Leon, if you click on Johhny's link above there's a "demo" version you can download to play with and make up your mind about it. Smile Better yet, here's a link straight to the demo version. Click Here

If you decide to get BIAB, get the mega pack and you'll have everything and save money not having to buy extra style sets to get some of the more desirable beats and feel's you will want to have.IMHO

I want to thank all of you for your help and information on Band In A Box. It is to compicated for me. I had hoped it would be played through a CD player not a computer. I also want to thank Big Jim for emailing me. Thanks, Leon
