Hi Tony - really looking forward to coming over and playing at the Brisbane show again ... this is always a brilliant show folks, and deserves to get all the support you can muster -- if you were planning a trip to Aussie, well what better way to start your visit off with a stop off at the Aussie steel show in Brisbane.

Just beware of the local beer XXXX heavy !! I found out the hard way Laughing

Greetings. Sure wish this show was next door. Sounds like a great time with superb players on this line up. Please give my best to all there and my wishes for lots of top flight entertainment.
I know it will be because Wayne has send me a sample recording of his playing with his new Dobro. Have never heard any better. Really wish I was there just to listen to Jean Stafford as she is one of the very best gorgeously(new word for her) talented young ladies in the business.(Not to mention the name sake status-lol). Her original western swing tunes are just the very best and her latest project with John Hughey and Lloyd Green, recorded in Nashville, profuced by Jimmy Crawford, is top flight material all lthe way around. Hearing is believing and I really do believe.
Good show coming up in June down under with some of the very best steel players on the program.

Yes Bill,I agree! The project you speak of is titled 'Let The Dance Begin' and it features some of Nashville's finest. The musicians are, Brent Mason,Lloyd Green,John Hughey,Stuart Duncan,Russ Hicks,Pig Robbins,Ric Boyer and Wayne Moss. Jimmie Crawford (who produced the record) and I were working together at the time and I had the priviledge of hangin out while they were cutting some of these tracks. What a great learning experience ... and quite a treat. The whole record is just fantastic! This is where I met Wayne Appleby and Jean Stafford and am proud to call them my friends. I wish all my friends down under well and hope the upcoming Steel Show in Brisbane is a huge success!

Sue hope the show is a big success and with the quality of players, vocalists etc, it is designed to be just that. Hopefully, someday, we can make that one also. Regards to all there.
