Man I'm telling you. What a great guitar. Plays, sounds& looks great. I still have and Love my Zums but these Rains guitars don't have to take a back seat to any guitar.

I was looking for a quailty SD 10 guitar and I HAVE FOUND IT. After hearing Corky play a RAINS at the May 3 concert where Plumb Country opened for the FAREWELL PARTY BAND. I heard what I thought I was looking for. Sure enough I FOUND IT and it is a RAINS GUITAR. I Love this guitar. A very high quailty well built guitar from a great bunch of builders right here in the great state of TEXAS.

Long story short. I RECOMMEND THESES RAINS GUITARS TO ANY AND EVERY ONE looking for a quality instrument.

Thanks

Congrats, Jeff.. I hear nothing but good about them, and if it would help me play like David H. I would get one. ...Question, Jeff, or whichever of you guys know: Did Rains, or do they now, make wood lacquer models?

You will love your Rains! I've had 4 Rains and loved them all. Sold my last SD-10 to get a D-10 Rains. Sustain forever...Gary Carpenter is a super fellow to deal with. Corky Owens (Gene Watson) is one of the finest E9th player anywhere as well as a super friend.

I, too, bought a Rains guitar and it arrived just a week ago. It's the best steel guitar that I have ever owned. The workmanship is superb. You won't find a better group of people to work with either. Gary Carpenter gave me personal service that is rarily seen these days. He built my guitar exactly the way I wanted it built and even suggested some knee lever changes that I hadn't thought of.

What sold me on buying a Rains was the four hours I spent in the Rains room at the TSGA jamboree in March. I watched Ron Stafford, Corky Owens, David Hartley, and others play their Rains. Gary Carpenter sat down next to me and proceeded to tell me about the fine details of the Rains guitar. After trying Ron Stafford's guitar for just a few minutes I knew that the Rains is what I have been looking for for a long time.

I told Gary Carpenter that he needed to put David Hartley on the payroll. His youtubes, where he has demonstrated at least three Rains guitars, contributed to my buying a Rains.
