Has somebody ever noticed that the age poll looks like a Bell curve which appears to be a graphic representation of the direct relationship to the decline of the steel guitars prominence in country music today.

The baby boom bell curve fits from the late '40s through the early '60s. So that automatically influences the curve we see. Also, I think steelers born up through the '50s are vastly under-represented on the internet and here on the Forum. Not sure what all that means. It would be interesting to see manufacturing or sales figures.

1946, the end of WWII and the first year of the baby boomers.
