Gary
Glad you had a great time and met one of my favorite players.
One comment if I may.
It was hard reading your post because of no punctuation and few capital letters used.

Did you let Lloyd leave a few licks on the D-10 Carter? That means we'll hear some LDG stuff from you on June 7th! Uh! See you in Ocean Springs, my friend.

I met Lloyd on Music Row in 1969, during the DJ Convention. I had a short conversation with him and during our conversation he invited me to be his guest at the RCA Recording Studio the following day. He was going to do a session with Dale Robertson. Chill Wills & Mr. Nudie were also present in the control room. During the session Chet Akins came into the control room and graciously asked the engineer if it was OK for him to enter.

Gary, that sound likes a day you'll remember forever - what a thrill.

And not to mention, you may have set the record for the longest sentence in the history of the Steel Guitar Forum! Whoa!

Gary and Roger, What great storys!

Lloyds's been a great credit to the music industry. What a class act and a great picker too.

Gary, don't worry about your punctuation... if I met Lloyd and went to his house, I wouldn't be able to type at all!

I think Gary was so excited that he really did say that all in one breath! This is a great forum.
