Hi all ,My name is Don Campbell and I believe I`m coming down with the PSG bug.I live in the town of Sutter (about 45 miles no. of Sacramento).I am not a musician but want to learn.I took a couple lessons from Pete Grant in Auburn a couple years ago with a lap steel that was a loaner ,no longer have anything to practice with.I would like to get to know some local PSG players maybe talk person to person .I am looking at buying a steel but would like to check some out first hand as I have not been around any.I`ve been checking out the Steel Guitar Forum for about 2 years now and recently became a member, love the site, and most everybody seems to be genuinly decent folk .I`m one of those genuine people. Thanks and I hope to here from ya all Don (530)870-7607 or on the net @ GONWHLN@AOL.COM

Pete Grant on Auburn. Do a search and you'll find a website. I know he gave lessons at one time and possibly still offers them.

Chris Ivey sure helped me get going right. Another forum member who was very generous with his time was Jim Grey. If you can hook up with either of these guys it will be time well spent. As soon as time permits I'll be trying to squeeze some more info outta those two!

Hi all ,thanks for all of the info ,keep it up I am enjoying talking, e-mailing, and meeting everybody. Thanks to forum members Jim Gray and Don Fong ,I became the proud 3rd owner of a beautiful blond D10 8&7 Thomas PSG (will post pics soon). Now comes the fun part, learning how do drive this thing. So bring on the info guys and girls, got to get this thing singing so the wife lets me keep it and the dog stops howling or vice versa LOL.
Thanks again Don
PS: wifey says I may have trouble because the only experience I have is playing with her G string lol (I didn`t think that was funny)
