Had a friend bring over a Xover, it was in almost mint condition. It has just one knee lever. Can we add more, where do we get them?

Thanks in advance

Larry,

Look at the one that the guitar has. It is on a crossrod that is 1/2 the width of the basket assembly. Notice that the lever is attached to a angle piece that is welded to a "normal" shaft. You make those and install where you like. Call John Coop. He's the expert on this stuff. These are very easy to work on and set up once you understand the way they work.

This is an undercarriage pic of my old 1969 Baldwin "non-crossover". I do believe it had many similarities underneath, though. The levers are original yet obscure, and were not used for very long on Sho~Bud guitars of this era. The LKL and RKL had two parts, held together by adjustable screws. The RKR, however, was just one piece.

Here's what the guitar looked like:

Chris. Thanks for that pic. I've been talking to several players over the years about a Sho~Bud that Ernie Hagar had. I was lucky enough to play it when he was working in a music store in Santa Cruz, Calif. I remember it having knee levers that pivoted like the ones in your pic. No one I talked with ever remembered those levers (except one local guy I talked to last week). He used that Bud when I saw him with Commander Cody at one of Bill Graham's "Day on the Green" concerts.

Hey Richard, seems I remember Bobby Black played a cross-over for a while in the early '70s, but danged if I can remember if it even had knee levers on it Smile
