It's been a while, but I got on the steel today and done a new recording with a video too using Keith White's Rains guitar. It has a Bill Lawrence 705. Its nice, but a bit 'lively' for the Hilton pedal therefore I used a goodrich pedal to calm it down a bit..

Anyway, hope you enjoy it guys and gals!

PS...Please tell Pearls dancehall to book Amber Digby on the Friday or Saturday 13th or 14th March 2009 so I can see her too! Thanks...!!

David, just amazing action at each end of the guitar. It just looks so easy, wonder why I can't do that? IMO, with that touch, anything is going to sound great. May I ask if you have ever had a psg teacher or did you develop this on your own?

David, I always enjoy your videos and your playing. If I didn't already have a Rains I'd of bought one already because of your tone. I like your gray guitar's tone the best, but they all sound great.

Nice Jack Russell, I'm wondering if it may be registered with the JRTCGB? If yes, I'd love to know who the breeder is. I know several terrier men and breeders from the UK, they're all half crazy.

Hi David...Your sounding mighty fine on that New Rains of Keith's, the 705 definately has a different sound than on yours, but sounds really awesome just the same...Take Care and be hollering at you later...Your South Texas Friend...Brian

Great job as always David. I think everyone should own a Rains Pedal Steel Guitar! I'm sure Gary Carpenter would agree. Laughing

I agree that the Rains guitar is a wonderful instrument, as I've seen from every one I've ever had the opportunity to look at.

But to the point, David Hartley... (to DH) man, you totally knocked me out in Dallas(!)... would sound monstrous on ANY guitar he chose to play. His right hand technique, almost exclusively palm blocking as I can tell, is exceptional! And excellent note choice as well.

David, PLEASE tell me you're well-known professional musician in the UK and not simply a weekend hobbyist! Wink

Charles......

Never had teacher, just listened a lot to country and steel guitar while my head worked out the licks most of the time..

Ward........

'Flash' the Jack Russell is not from breeder stock..She's just a pup from a litter from someone I know. You need one in the country to keep the rodents and rabbits off my garden!

Herb.......

Sorry, I have a day job but I do take my music seriously and have a good diary of gigs at weekends.

Played in a country club last night in Norwich and ' Bruce Wandmayer' from CA came to see us..
