I believe the name of the Dire Straits live album
that has Walk of Life is called "On the Night". It is a must have CD and DVD. Paul has several highlight moments and there is terrific interplay between him and Mark Knophler. By the way Knophler is awesome.

Paul also does some fine work on Dire Straits, '91 record "On Every Street". I think that was the first time I heard Paul and Mark Knopfler together. Good stuff.

Don't forget his work with the Notting Hillbillies. Several youtube videos of Paul with the Hillbillies and Dire Straits.

My very first pedal steel guitar will arrive this coming Friday.

Dire Straits has been my favorite band since 1978, and ever since then my guitar playing has been influenced by Knopfler. Paul Franklin on the other hand acounts for about 50% of the reason I am getting a pedal steel.
