Bill, given your obvious command of the English language I turn to you for the answer to a question that has puzzled many over the years, hopefully your expertise will provide a definitive answer and thus solve the perplexing question of :-
What is the opposite of "it" ?

Thanks for the question that could be delved into by a relinquishment of very deep responses. However, "it" and its opposite depends on the strength and significance of what the pronoun represents. The nonpedal steel could be referred to as an "it". The opposite could be referred to as a freedom of expression, through the use of pedals and knee levers of the modern steel guitar.  |

Phew that was close...I was sure this thread would somehow deteriorate into another epic on rising gas prices!
Or maybe we should check with Bill Clinton on your question, Glyn - it may depend on what the definition of "is" (or is it "it") is. Man I'm confused. |

BUT ....you have failed to give a definitive answer to the question...your response is one the we`d expect from a politician....lots of words but nothing said or given !!!! 
To be more succinct or precise if you prefer I ask Pt.2 of the same question
What word or phraseology would you use to indicate the opposite of "it" ?

"It" can only be defined by using another "it" on any explanation. Therefore, this will only be known after death in another dimension. (Either that or I'm just an "Idi-it"...  |
