You could use a little more treble on the steel. Other than that, it's a real good first effort. I'd say you guys have the "Waylon Jennings sound" down pretty well! Smile

Thank you for posting the link. I enjoyed your steel playing, and the entire band sounded good.

Nice!!! I could wish the steel to be louder in the mix, about level with the tele.

Someone did a DVD of Mooney licks on E9 a while back, anybody remember who that was and if it's still available?

Sounding really good Tor, like Donny says bring up the Treble just a tad and a little bit louder on the Pedal steel to match the Tele Player...other than that your sounding really good, the whole Band for that matter...Keep um comin' and as always "Keep on Pickin"...Take care...Brian Smile

Hey Tor,
My family is from Norway. You might recognize the name without the 'h'. Drivdal. Anyway, from one Norwegian steeler to another, good job!

Joey, when I click on that link, I get a message that says "The topic or post you requested does not exist"!

If I'm not mistaken, this is where the DVD referred to can be found (with none other than Joey Ace on backup guitar!):

I thought your playing was fine, and I'd agree you were low in the mix on that tune. I'm not sure you need more treble.

My only recommendation would be to play a bit less. There seems to be a musical disconnect between what you're playing and what the tele is playing. But this is IMHO ONLY!!!

Tor Arve,
That was fantastic! You all got me into the Waylon mood, really, I was sitting here stomping my foot to the beat. Your steel sounds great. I agree that you could use a touch more treble (but that could be a lousy cam mic also). Do I see another Norwegian tribute band on the horizon? Naturally I am thinking about Bakersfield and Buck Owens. Norway sure has had a lot of great country musicians appear the last couple of decades. As an ex-Norwegian, it makes me awfully proud!

Will you and the Countrymen be playing in Breim or Seljord? I hope so, because I am going to Norway the month of July and will attend these two festivals.
If you are not, please contact me if you have any jobs in July. I will try my best to be there!
Flott spilling!
Bent
