ART SANCHEZ WAS BORN IN TUCSON AZ. IN 1938 STARTED PLAYING STEEL WHEN HE WAS SIXTEEN AND MOVED THE RIVERSIDE CALIF IN 1957 AND PLAYED ALL THE LOCAL CLUBS AROUND RIVERSIDE AND PLAYED WITH ROSE MADDOX IN THE EARLY SIXTIE AND WAS A MENTOR TO JD MADNESS AND A LOT OF OTHER STEEL PLAYERS AROUND SOUTHERN CALIF

ALSO IN THE SIXTIES AT THE PALAMINO CLUB IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALS CORAL IN LAWNDALE IN THE EARLY SEVENTY WITH RAY SANDERS AND BOOTLEG COUNTY BAND ALSO WAS HOUSE STEEL PLAYER AT KNOTTS BERRY FARM IN THE MID 70'S PLAYED THE VEGAS AND RENO CIRCUIT A LOT BACK UP SINGERS SAMMI SMITH, WYNN STEWART, JOHHNY RODRIGUEZ, TONY BOOTH, JUST A FEW I REMEMBER
HE WAS A HELLVA OF STEEL PLAY AND A GREAT DAD AND FRIEND
