WHY ISN'T SMILEY IN THE ISGHOF?
IN RECENT YEARS, IT SEEMS LIKE THE ISGHOF IS PLAYING POLITICS MORE THAN REWARDING THOSE WHO HAVE DONE THE MOST TO FURTHER STEEL GUITAR.

SMILEY IS A TERRIFIC PLAYER ON HIS OWN MERIT, IN ADDITION TO HAVING GAINED MORE FAVORABLE PUBLICTY THAN ANYONE ELSE FOR THE STEEL GUITAR.

HE HAS FOR YEARS BEEN THE UNOFFICIAL GOOD WILL AMBASSADOR FOR STEEL GUITAR AND FOR THIS REASON ALONE HE SHOULD BE IN THE HOF

The list of inductees is here:
http://www.scottysmusic.com/hofplq.htm

I don't see any names that are there because of politics. Please enlighten me.

There is a nomination form at
http://www.scottysmusic.com/abouthof.htm
if you'd like to nominate Brother Smiles.

while we're at it, let's toss b0b a bone...you can't create this kind of communication center without having to pay for it (oops, i mean, having it pay off) somewhere down the line!

Did he not scream loud enough for you to hear him?

When in doubt, shout . . . I guess.

Regarding his being or not being in the SGHOF, a steel guitarist must be nominated before he can be inducted. Nomination documents have not been received by the SGHOF board, and so Smiley Roberts has not yet been nominated.

I think that photo has already been submitted to the SGHOF. Might help explain the delay...
