Looking to purchase a (new) superior quality volume pedal to use with my GFI D-10 and any other PSG that I might pick up in the future. Have found with most other musical accessories that you get what you pay for in the long run, so I want to buy the best volume pedal now and be done with it. Thanks for your comments and sharing your experiences.

Rick,

I have had good luck with my modified Goodrich Model 120 pot pedal and the new Hilton lightweight pedal with detachable power cord.

There's a review on my web site comparing these two popular pedals:

Another good option would be to buy a used Goodrich 120 pedal and put a Dunlop HotPotz in it:

I would say the "best" (which is very subjective)available now is the Hilton. My opinion both as a musician and as a former amp tech.

I have used an old MSA drop pin- pot pedal.
I like the angle in and I like the way the front rises up.
I also used a Goodrich 120... nice smooth pedal but never grew on me, it's a spare in my seat.
I just got an new Hilton (old style, with a ginormous wall wart) with the bar attachment. I don't hear all that much tonal difference, maybe a little more high end and very clean all thru the range and with the pedal attached to the bar it is as close to perfect as I can get for me and it is totally silent. Very Happy
I don't think my spare will ever get used again.
